About the Team:

The Merchandise team is a commercial function based on the fifth floor of the Millennium Hotel in Stamford Bridge. The main focus of the department is to ensure our Chelsea products are representative of the brand and to ensure their availability globally for fans.

The department oversees the management of Chelsea’s relationship with our official kit supplier Nike, the partnership with the management of the Nike Chelsea Megastore, product licensing, brand protection and the Sports Merchandise and Licensing Show and the operation of the stadium tours and museum.

What We’re Looking For:

To assist the Global E-Commerce Partnership Manager in the day-to-day management of Fanatics eCommerce partnership to drive global traffic and sales. Responsible for the signings department, distribution of signed merchandise through depts alongside managing general administrative duties within the merchandise office.

Main Responsibilities:

E-COMMERCE

• Review ecommerce store for product range and availability, clear and current promotional messages, general housekeeping. Document findings making comparisons and communicate.
• Complete weekly comp shops of all relevant football clubs analysing site content, promotions/offers, delivery services & site functionality.
• Responsible for compiling and communicating the following reports:
• Daily sales performance v budget
• Weekly report on price and promotional activity across the trade on key products
• Monthly report on Nike global product availability on nike.com vs other Clubs
• Attend weekly trading meeting to review the prior week’s Fanatics trade, to share knowledge regarding forthcoming trade plans and to identify actions going forward.
• Attend monthly Fanatics business reviews with the wider Merchandising team to understand key priorities for forthcoming months.

SIGNINGS

• Attend Cobham training ground bi-weekly for player signing session, collate signing lists and distribute signed merchandise across business as per contractual requests.
• Manage the signings dept stock levels, ensuring the TSM stock records are always accurate.
• Conduct quarterly stock counts on all signings stock and report on stock discrepancies.
• Ensure all Purchase Orders are processed in time efficient manner.
• Log player activity monthly for the merchandise department with the sponsorship team.

ADMINISTRATION

• Administrative support to Head of Global Merchandising.
• Manage all internal and external match ticket requests.
• Assist with all internal and external bookings with onsite hotel.
• Support in the organisation and delivery of the Sports Merchandise and Licensing Show.
• Raise non-stock Purchase Orders for merchandise department Respond to all general merchandise enquiries.
• Respond to all customer complaints and/or enquiries relating to the e-commerce partners websites.
• Responsible for tracking all customer complaints via Dynamics 365 and updating the weekly summary accordingly.

Must Haves/qualified by demonstratable experience to the level required:

• Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
• Proven track record of working in e-commerce for at least 1-year.
• Experience using stock management tools.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
• Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience of merchandising function desired but not essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to self-start.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships throughout all levels within the Club.
