We are looking for an energetic Research Officer who will lead and undertake a range of project activities to support the development of anti influenza drug candidates. Activities will include the design, synthesis, and scale up of sugar derivatives, and their conjugations with polymers and oligomers to achieve the lead candidate. Compounds will be purified and characterized by a variety of organic and physical techniques such as 1D and 2D NMRs, MALDI, Mass, FT-IR, UV-Vis, GPC, and HPLC. The post holder will work closely with the project Principal Investigator at Swansea (Dr. Sumati Bhatia), as well as national and international collaborators in the consortium.
