We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor in Cwmbran. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in supporting the learning environment and ensuring the smooth running of our classrooms.
Overview:
- Title: Secondary School Cover Supervisor
- Pay: £95.00 per day minimum
- Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Classes: Take responsibility for the delivery of pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment, managing student behaviour effectively and promoting a culture of respect.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable to work across different subjects and year groups, providing support where needed.
- Communication: Collaborate with teaching staff and school leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to learning and student development.
- Administrative Tasks: Undertake basic administrative tasks associated with the role, such as registering the attendance of students.
- Assistance with Extra-Curricular Activities: Support the school's extracurricular program, fostering student engagement beyond the regular classroom setting.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Minimum of A-levels or equivalent qualification. A degree in Education or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school environment or working with young people is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both students and staff.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different subject matters and year groups.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills.
