Job Duties:

• Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs
• Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
• Support students in developing their social and communication skills
• Implement behaviour management strategies and effectively manage challenging behaviour
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
• Promote inclusivity and create a supportive learning environment
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
• Experience or training in supporting individuals with special educational needs is advantegous.
• Prior experience working in the education or care sector.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proactive and caring approach towards supporting individuals with special educational needs
• Reliable and enthusiastic with a passion for promoting inclusive learning
• Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour
• Good understanding of educational practises and strategies for supporting individuals with special educational needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
