Job description

We are looking for a Painter and Decorator on behalf of this Letting Agent and Property Management company based in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

As a Painter and Decorator for this highly regarded and long established business, you will work properties around Bradford to carry out general painting and decorating work both internally and externally.

The package includes:

  • £13.01-14.95 per hour (£25,040 - £28,763) dependent on experience, skills & qualifications
  • Hours: 39 hours a week (plus paid overtime when required)
  • Employers Pension Contributions
  • 21 days annual leave + bank holidays.
  • Various properties across Bradford
  • Company Vehicle to be provided for use within working hours.

We’re looking for a Painter and Decorator who has:

  • Excellent skills and experience in all aspects of Painting and Decorating.
  • NVQ L2 Qualified in Painting and Decorating or Qualified by experience.
  • Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks.
  • High customer care skills.
  • A neat and tidy approach to working.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake day to day painting and decorating tasks to the highest standards.
  • Applying paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes.
  • Using brushes, rollers, or spraying equipment.
  • Applying primers and undercoats, or varnishes and glazes.
  • Wallpapering.
  • Calculating the materials needed for a planned works.
  • Removing old paint or wallpaper by sanding or scraping, or by using heat guns, liquid paint removers or steam strippers.
  • Laying dust sheets to protect areas from paint.
  • Preparing surfaces for decorating by filling holes and sealing cracks.
  • Tidying up and cleaning your tools.
  • Undertake rip out and refurbishment labour.
  • Deal with general repairs where necessary as instructed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Regularly check external areas for any potential danger to people on site.
