Job description
We are looking for an animation supervisor to join our team on a new season of a pre-school TV Series. This series is made using Moho, 2D rigged software. Ideally, we’d love someone who has experience in Moho but an enthusiasm to learn and experience in other rigged 2D rigged software is essential. Webinars on our moho pipeline are available here
The role is based in our Derry studio, however we will consider remote working for UK applications.
Start: Beginning of April to Mid November 2024
Requirements
At least 3 years experience in a supervisory role
Must be passionate about character animation and acting.
Good knowledge and experience with Moho, though experience in another Digital 2D Animation Software such as CelAction or ToonBoom (bone animation) and/or CGI experience with Maya or 3D Max can be acceptable depending on experience
A desire and ability to lead, mentor and motivate a team of animators
An ability to work collaboratively & efficiently in a fast paced quality driven team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoys working in a team environment
Responsibilities
Responsible for the consistent quality of the animation
Work closely with the Series & Episodic Director to help translate narrative accurately to the screen and understand the overall storytelling of the movie
To supervise and lead the animation team on a day to day basis. Ensuring artists are briefed, having regular work in progress reviews & are working towards delivering the strongest output in the time available
Work directly with team to ensure ensure technical aspects of animation are ready to deliver the performance the Director requires
Responsible for keeping the animation on style and consistent throughout the season and in line with output on previous seasons.
Be the main liaison between the animation department and other departments in the production process
Take direction and respond well to notes and pitch creative/technical solutions to potential problems
Liaise with the production department to ensure deadlines are kept and quotas are fulfilled
Create & develop memo’s & guides for each animation team
