Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Essex, United Kingdom

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our passionate team in Essex. As an Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our Nursery group. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing staff, and maintaining a positive and engaging environment for both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Manage and optimise day-to-day operations across multiple nursery locations within the chain, as well as implement and streamline efficient processes to enhance overall operational effectiveness.

Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of nursery staff. Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that promotes teamwork and professional development.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Establish effective communication channels with parents, staff, and other stakeholders. Address and resolve concerns or issues raised by parents or staff promptly. Collaborate with SMT to promote the nursery chain and maintain a positive public image.

Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of nursery facilities and address maintenance and repair needs. Ensure that the physical environment is safe, stimulating, and conducive to children's development.

Training and Development: Identify training needs for staff and organise relevant professional development opportunities. Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education and childcare. Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursery staff.

Problem Solving: Address operational challenges and troubleshoot issues as they arise, as well as develop and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and resolve problems.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilise data and analytics to assess performance metrics and make informed decisions. Generate regular reports on key operational indicators for senior management.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processes, to include implementing changes and innovations to enhance the overall quality of childcare services.

Staff Leadership: Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of dedicated childcare professionals. Foster a positive working culture that prioritises collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:
Must have 3 years operational experience.
Early Years Educator Level 3 desirable, but not essential.
Previous experience in an operations role within the childcare or early years sector is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

While early years’ experience and qualifications are desired, they are not essential. We welcome applications from individuals with relevant operational experience.
