A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a mixed veterinary surgeon at an independent practice in the stunning county of Cumbria. With great beaches and high mountains all within easy reach, this is an ideal location for the outdoor enthusiast.
Our client has two practices in the area; one purpose built small animal practice in the town centre and one mixed veterinary practice operating from a grade 2 listed town house with a large car park. The practices are fully equipped with everything you would expect from a modern surgery including an in-house laboratory, full surgical suites and equipment for soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, x-ray facilities, ultrasound and an in-house pharmacy.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and committed veterinary team, with certificate holders in both surgery and medicine providing a supportive working environment. You need to be willing to participate in all aspects of the daily caseload and ideally have some experience with all species although this is not essential.
The Rota:
• Full time - Part time hours considered
• Half day off each week, plus additional half day Friday after weekend on call
The Benefits:
• Salary of between £35,000 to £45,000 DOE
• CPD allowance of 4 days and £1000, more for certificate study
• 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, additional 2 weeks unpaid leave by mutual agreement

• VDS and RCVS fees paid
• Pension contribution
• Can facilitate the application for a Tier 2 visa for overseas vets
