The Business Systems Analyst will manage the process of looking for ways to improve how DN Tanks leverages technology to operate more efficiently.
We are looking for a candidate with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities - Responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to define the requirements and specifications to implement technology solutions to meet their business objectives.
- Develop detailed requirements and use cases for software development projects.
- Reporting to Stakeholders and Management on proposed solutions to obtain approval for system development projects.
- Communicate project status and progress to team members and stakeholders.
- Efficiently integrate new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
- Develop and maintain documentation such as user manuals, training materials, and technical specifications.
- Ensuring end-user proficiency with new systems, programs, and applications across departments.
- Manage processes to upgrade and maintain assigned systems. Work with vendors to resolve issues that cannot be readily addressed using in-house resources.
- Improve and maintain company automation processes, using tools such as MS Power Automate and Boomi.
- Establish and maintain an appropriate test environment and execute appropriate application test plans for assigned applications.
- Plan, build, implement, and maintain new automations and integrations, as well as existing.
- Research new applications and/or application features both independently and by management request. Formulate recommendations and implementation plans.
- Resolve application-related end user issues as escalated by the Service Desk, including working with software vendors’ technical support to resolve complex problems.
- Build, maintain, and optimize applications used for reporting and data analytics.
- Maintain existing application integrations as well as develop new integrations for cross-application integration and data collection.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, and an accredited qualification in management consultancy, or similar.
- Experience in technical business analysis in a related industry.
- Knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills toward facilitating the use of new software systems.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining and supporting Windows environments and web-based (client/server – software as a solution) applications; includes the ability to troubleshoot the full spectrum of user issues.
- Previous experience in software evaluation, implementation, integration, testing and deployment.
- Previous experience breaking down business processes into technology requirements.
- Experience with database management, particularly Microsoft SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft Applications including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerShell, and SharePoint.
Preferred Experience - Experience with Windows Server and IIS administration (2012 R2 and higher).
- Experience with IT task and report automation.
- Experience working with APIs and integrations.
- Experience supporting client-server and web-compliant development tools and products.
- Experience supporting enterprise ERP and CRM solutions, such as Viewpoint Spectrum and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with construction-related platforms such as Sage Estimating and Oracle/Primavera P6.
