THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, update and implement an enterprise-wide risk management framework and the policies and procedures to support it.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across various departments and functions within the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish risk tolerances and mitigation strategies in line with the company’s objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments, scenario analysis, and stress testing to evaluate potential threats to the organization’s operations.
- Develop and maintain risk registers and ensure that risks are adequately documented, monitored, and reported.
- Provide guidance and support to business units in identifying, assessing, and managing risks specific to their areas.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and evolving regulatory requirements to ensure the company’s risk management processes are current and effective.
- Analyse and report key risk indicators to senior management and the board of directors, providing recommendations and actionable insights.
- Lead the development and delivery of risk management training and awareness programs for employees.
- Coordinate with internal audit teams to review and improve risk mitigation strategies.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 7 years of experience in enterprise risk management, preferably within financial services.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management strategies, frameworks and processes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct risk assessments and scenario analysis effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to risk management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools is desirable.
