SEN Learning Support Job Title: SEN Learning Support Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Bradford Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Salary: £80 - £110 Per day Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a school setting
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the diverse needs of students
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
- Promote independence and self-confidence in students with SEN
- Manage challenging behaviours and implement behaviour management strategies
- Ensure students' safety and well-being during school hours
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g. , Teaching Assistant, Special Educational Needs)
- Valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate
Experience:
- Prior experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- Experience in supporting individuals with specific learning difficulties, autism, or behavioural challenges
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of various special educational needs and associated support strategies
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Patience, empathy, and a caring nature
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily takes place within a school setting
- Full-time hours, typically following the school timetable
- Temporary position with the possibility of extension
- Collaboration with teachers, educational professionals, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
