Job description
MCL requires an Onshore Pipeline Engineer on various projects for our Oil and Gas client.
Duration: for an initial 12 month contract role that has an immediate start
Rate: a target limited company rate of circa £45.00 per hour.
Please note this is a Junior role in support of the Lead Engineer
Location: The role will be based on 5 days a week in the Clients Offices in Leatherhead.
Hybrid working is possible with two days remote.
The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment

Job Description
The candidate will be assist in studies, FEED and Detailed Design of onshore pipelines and associated facilities.
Including but not restricted to:
- Pipeline route selection
- Mechanical design, i.e., wall thickness, stress analysis (CAESAR II experience) and expansion analysis
- Development of material specifications and data sheets
- Development of construction and inspection specifications
- Preparation of Pipeline EPC scopes of work
- Input to EPC schedules and Cost Estimate
- Previous experience working on the mechanical and civil design of onshore pipeline projects
- FEED and detailed design experience
- Able to assist in the development pipeline installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance analysis and procedures
- Experienced in the use of pipeline software (AutoCAD, Microstation, CAESAR II) is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required
- Experience in the development of material requisitions and construction scopes of work
- Experience working with Middle East clients is an advantage
- Chartered engineer status preferred
- Min 5 years experience in design of onshore pipelines
Desirable
- Familiarity with MathCAD
- Familiarity with ArcGIS
