Purpose
The operations manager's role is to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently. They will supervise, manage, and develop the claims and membership team, ensuring they are customer focused, high performing, driven and regulatory compliant. The role also is responsible for operational governance, including complaints management.
Key tasks
- Team Supervision
- Inspire and motivate staff to create a high-performance culture within the operation team which is customer-focused, dynamic, driven and fun.
- Manage the operational team, including but not limited to recruiting, performance management and development plans, training, talent mapping, succession planning, and resourcing.
- Manage quality assurance across all operational activities, where issues are identified, design and implement improvements in systems, procedures, and processes.
- Act as a mentor and coach to develop team colleagues; build passion and commitment towards team, department, and organisational goals.
Experience Required
- Previous experience of achieving team outcomes through a consultative and supportive approach
- Experience of working within the Financial Services.
- Knowledge of the PRA and FCA regulatory environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related subject.
- Strong demonstrable background in delivering business change.
- Experience managing financial data and tracking KPI metrics.

Key tasks

- Identifying areas for improvement, developing action plans, and implementing the plans.Completing process maps of key areas to be able to review and identify areas for improvement.
- Preparing and reporting the agreed operational KPI to the CEO and board, covering all aspects of the role.

- As part of the strategic plan, working alone and in collaboration with colleagues and third parties, undertake projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO.
