Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company team based in Oxford. Specialising in specialise in the cosmetic and biocidal sectors they are looking for a laboratory manager. They are looking for someone who can work closely with their customers and have a strong customer service ethic which the successful candidate must maintain through technical support, efficient and timely laboratory testing, and professional customer interactions
Responsibilities
- Management of the laboratory and training and development of the laboratory team.
- Work with the Senior Technicians to plan and organise workload for the laboratory facilities.
- Assist with the maintenance of the UKAS Quality System Laboratory based.
- Benchwork will be included in this position.
- Liaise with clients in a positive and professional way.
Qualifications and experience
- Experience in a microbiology laboratory essential (minimum 5 years)
- Supervisory or managerial experience in a microbiology/Virology/GMP/Food Testing Laboratory is essential.
- Experience working in a diverse and high throughput laboratory is essential.
- Customer liaison experience desirable.
- The successful candidate must be a positive, self-motivated individual who works well as part of and leading a busy team.
