As Category Manager – Co-pack you will be responsible for leading commercial relationships with a range of co-packers who manufacture a selection of Britvic brands, working cross-functionally with the wider Procurement Team, multiple functions (e.g. Technical, Sustainability, Quality, Manufacturing), and an international supply base. The role sits within our Procurement Supply Chain Team reporting to the Senior Category Manager – Co-pack who is the Co-pack procurement lead for the Britvic group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the definition and deployment of Britvic’s subcontracting strategy through the development of buying strategies.
- Conduct supplier sourcing events
- Lead pricing and commercial negotiations for new and existing co-pack agreements (including inbound material costs incorporated into co-packer model where required)
- Ensure all commercial terms are captured in robust contractual agreements.
- Provide cost inputs into budgetary/financial planning/financial outlook processes and reporting on risks and opportunities to plan.
- Provide procurement support to Quality, Technical and Operations teams in the set-up and operationalisation of new suppliers
- Represent Procurement on cross-functional projects including New Product Development, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships, representing Procurement in relevant supplier meetings.
- Responsible for resolving contract manufacturing commercial issues ensuring relevant stakeholders are consulted and informed.
- Be an ambassador for Procurement through adhering to procurement policies and processes
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- High professional proficiency in both English and French language (essential)
- Experience in Directs or Co-pack procurement (essential).
- Experience in using Category Management to develop buying strategies (essential).
- Strong commercial negotiation skills (essential).
- Experience of working in cross-functional teams with technical and non-technical functions (essential).
- Experience working in FMCG or Consumer goods organisations (desirable).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (essential)
- Professional qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain (or working towards) (desirable)
