An opportunity has arisen to join an established Affordable Housing provider in South Devon within the Housing Services department. This not-for-profit organisation work with residents from a variety of backgrounds to ensure they have appropriate housing, with the company offering free parking.

The position as a part-time Housing Officer is on a permanent basis covering a small patch of homes across South Devon and Teignbridge, with residents primarily of an older nature.

Primary responsibilities would include:

• To carry out frequent visits to the properties and meeting with customers
• Ensuring that properties are safe and compliant, with any issues reported
• To undertake Heath and Safety inspections

An opportunity has arisen to join an established Affordable Housing provider in South Devon within the Housing Services department. This not-for-profit organisation work with residents from a variety of backgrounds to ensure they have appropriate housing, with the company offering free parking.

The position as a part-time Housing Officer is on a permanent basis covering a small patch of homes across South Devon and Teignbridge, with residents primarily of an older nature.

• Managing tenancies, including drawing up tenancy agreements
• Letting void properties
• Ensuring that properties are safe and compliant, with any issues reported
• To undertake Heath and Safety inspections

The ideal person would have worked within a social housing setting previously and have excellent communication skills. The ability to work independently would be advantageous due to the nature of the position, and a driving license is essential.
