Job description
To be responsible for delivery of fleet reporting to enable KINTO UK to build a competitive reporting advantage and achieve mid-term objectives. Reporting in this context will include some document design and output. Working closely with Application Services, Technical Report Writers, Business Analysts and Business SME’s, the role will primarily be focused on building KINTO UK’s reporting capability in the areas of data storage, mobile application reporting, data warehouse and customer self-service reporting. The BI & Report Developer will also be responsible for ensuring that all reports performance is optimised and will need to work within existing governance frameworks.
- Act as the primary reporting SME for projects, including tasks such as impact assessment, report development (new & change), documentation or requirements, report specifications, assisting testers.
- Report Delivery – Understand business requirements to enable effective report development with minimal defects and post-release changes.
- Deliver key initativies as required.
- On going work on all reports for bug fixing, Change Requests and performance tuning
- Assist with managing BAU with new reports to be created and appropriately prioritiesed according to complexity and development timelines
- Quality and Root Cause Analysis – ensure complete and accurate solutions delivered every time
- Review and understand previously designed report logic and coding in order to completly resolve report/document issues raised
- Proactively review reports/documents and indentify potential opportunity to further enhance for the business and or correct
- Ensure Sufficient unit and business testing
- Development tools & process – ensure adherance to company ITS database and system protocols. Proactively implement improvements in the reports development cycle.
- Correct management and update of development tracking tools
- Release procedures followed in all instances (including supporting material)
- Appropriate documentation to be maintained
- Improve quality through implementation of effective procedures to streamline analysis of reports
- Conduct peer review of code to ensure consistency and correctness
