Job description

Evelina Hospital School is a community special school meeting the needs of young people who are patients in Evelina London Children’s Hospital.  We are situated opposite Westminster, on the south of the Thames, in the heart of central London. 

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher who will join and strengthen our team from September 2024. We are particularly interested in experienced teachers with competency in teaching Maths; Science or ICT / Computing.

The successful applicant will be:

·        A teacher with mainstream or special school teaching experience;

·        A professional with a commitment to improving the outcomes and life chances of young people;

·        Solution- focused, proactive, resourceful and energetic;

·        Able to demonstrate effective teaching across all key stages especially GCSE and A-level to all abilities;

·        Proficient to teach other subjects (if you have other subject specialisms, this will be advantageous)

We are committed to providing outstanding personalised education where every young person feels valued, nurtured and respected within our hospital school. We teach children and young people from 2-19 with the full spectrum of abilities and special educational and medical needs, so we are looking for a flexible, experienced teacher, who can adapt quickly to changing situations. We need a dynamic and creative teacher who will ensure an enriching educational experience for our pupils.
