Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Learn how to support and foster children’s development and early education in a team within a school Early Years setting
- Carry out planned activities under the guidance, direction and supervision of the Teacher in Nursery
- Be a member of the team providing high-quality childcare provision
- Keep and maintain records as directed by the Teacher
- Share responsibility for the care, presentation, display, safety, organisation and appearance of the facilities and equipment
- Read, discuss and implement all policies
The training you will be getting
You will be working towards a qualification in Early Years - L3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (EYE) by attending your study days one day a week at our Training Centre in Dorchester - Side by Side Training Centre, Poundbury.
In addition, you will also undertake training courses in Paediatric First Aid, Basic Health and Safety, Food Safety.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
If a vacancy arises following completion of the Apprenticeship, the trainee will be able to apply for the post.
