As Online Merchandiser, you will be responsible for optimising both online trade and content on iDmobile.co.uk. You will work with the trading team to ensure our propositions are attractive and carefully considered. You will ensure content is presented with the quality and accuracy required to stand out among the crowd. You work as part of a team, and are never being afraid to challenge, or support, in order to drive for a better customer or commercial outcome.
Responsibilities:
- Work with trading and acquisition teams to drive sales whilst managing margin within agreed envelopes
- Work closely with the trading team and your ecommerce colleagues to manage merchandising vs stock, optimizing conversion to pre-orders or alternative product sales
- Be hands-on with the actual creation and management of content, mobile propositions and promotions on the iDmobile.co.uk website
- Ensure navigation and search are optimised to ensure key products and events are easy to find
- Research our competitors to ensure our propositions are attractive vs market
- Work with your SEO colleagues to optimise product and category content for SEO
- Ensure product imagery and descriptions are correct, complete, in line with manufacturers’ guidelines (where applicable) and optmised for consumption by your customer
- Be the online lead for key handset launches, liaising with trading, marketing, ecommerce and acquisition
- Manage promotions and ensure pricing, promo tags and strikethroughs are displaying correctly
- Generate and analyse daily reports to track conversion, bounce rate and upsell value
- Work with digital insight, ecommerce and UX/UI teams, and use digital insight tools, to understand customer behaviour, and drive continuous improvement in experience and conversion rates
- Work with collaborative with relevant other teams to launch campaigns on time and to specification
Skills/Experience required:
- A collaborative team player
- Proactive, commercial, self-motivated, analytical in nature, and with a relentless customer focus
- Excellent multitasker who thrives on meeting deadlines, with a structured approach to tasks
- 2-3 Years hands-on experience of online merchandising
- Hands-on experience of working with ecommerce platforms and analytical tools for performance measurement
- Experience working cross-functionally with trading, marketing, acquisition and ecommerce teams
- Experience of researching and reporting on competitor landscapes
- Experience of recommending and managing customer propositions
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly data-literate
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience of using Google Analytics, Content Square
- Experience of the mobile or other subscription-based industries
