Assistant Director Strategy, Equality and Communities needed in Islington.

The hourly rate is £239.79 per day PAYE

The successful candidate will work closely with the Leader to develop the vision and direction of travel for the company. The post holder will work with the Chief Executive and Corporate Management Board as well the community to translate the vision into a compelling narrative and plan that staff, partners and the community can all unite behind and work together towards delivering.

Key to plans is a relationship with the community that puts our residents at the heart of plans and works with them as equal partners. COVID-19 has demonstrated the power of community participation and partnerships and this is something we want to build on to enable residents to have more control over decisions that affect them.

This role will lead the work on community participation and partnerships driving a cultural shift in the way we work with communities. The role will manage relationships with ward members to harness the power of community and encourage participation locally. The post holder will oversee the delivery of grants to support a thriving voluntary and community sector as well as enabling grassroots groups and residents to lead change locally.
