The Networked Service Division at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust are seeking to appoint a Deputy Divisional Director of Nursing. This leadership role will support the Director of Nursing in delivering high quality, safe patient care whilst developing our Nursing teams and transforming patients’ pathways. This is an excellent opportunity to support the organisation in driving forward and delivering our strategic and Nursing strategy by working with the Senior Nursing Team and deputising for the Divisional Director of Nursing as appropriate.
In this role you will work closely with the divisional triumvirate team and care group triumvirate teams to deliver effective integrated clinical, operational and financial performance within the division. The Networked Services Division provide a myriad of services covering Renal Services, Oncology and Haematology, Paediatrics, NICU, Gynaecology and Maternity specialties for both Emergency and Planned Care. Though the services provided are mainly done so from our site at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth; we also provide services across South East Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, at a range of locations and in conjunction with our system partners. You will provide strong compassionate leadership at a divisional level, ensuring that there are appropriate systems and processes in place to deliver objectives and drive forward the service to improve patients and nursing teams experiences.
The Deputy Director of Nursing will provide nurse leadership to the Care Groups whilst supporting the Director of Nursing to deliver the effective integrated clinical, operation and financial performance of the Division. As an experienced leader, you will bring innovation, compassion and expertise, you will join a fast-paced and hugely supportive team working within a highly rewarding environment. This role will support quality, safety, and patient experience across the Division; contributing to the Quality Improvement plan as well as the Corporate Nursing Agenda and having a portfolio that reflects this, as delegated by the Divisional Director of Nursing.
