The business is growing rapidly and we are looking for a Finance Director to add value. You will work closely with the business and drive performance analyses planning and control. You are a structured analytical and handson professional with a strong interest in the commercial and financial aspects of the growing and fascinating business. In this role you report to the Head of Finance Commercial Operations with a dotted line to the MD of UK and the head of R&D UK. What youll do
- Drive financial performance for our Sales entities in UK & Ireland as well as financial oversight of R&D in UK
- Contribute to all areas of the business and provide a strong financial leadership
- Liaise with external and internal auditors and ensure compliance with SarbanesOxley controls
- Responsible for statutory financial statements P/L and Balance Sheet
- High attention on sales margins (profits) operational growth (sales volumes) operating cost and cash flow
- Bottom line responsibility for the markets with high transparency towards Global functions
- Governance and Control secure execution and improvement of internal controls set by our global IC team
- You head a small team of controllers and will lead a small team directly but also indirect functional leadership of different finance functions
- Working closely with the local operational teams with strategic and daytoday business. Backup to Local Business Controller when needed
- Close cooperation with Polestar global operational teams other finance and accounting functions (General PTP OTC Treasury FP&A)
- Responsible for budget forecast monthly reporting and FLUX reviews with the support of the local team
- Business partner for implementation of new ERPsystem UK/Ireland Finance lead in the ERP project with market specific requirements to secure implementation tied to rules and regulations within the markets
- Business cases drive/support structured process
- Support management with dashboards KPIs and adhoc analyses
- High focus on improving data quality and data transparency
- Data driven analyses in Excel and systems
- Drive problem solving and identify process gaps and areas for optimization and automation
- Responsible for financial matters related to the legal R&D UK entity e.g:
- Contacts with authorities
- FLUXAnalysis
- Support Tax Returns
- Support in SoX related issues
- Close cooperation with the Polestar Global/local R&D Controlling team
Who you are

Further on you have:
- Experience from working in US listed environment including SOX
- Controlling background but strong knowledge of IFRS US GAAP local GAAP local reporting requirements and regulations
- Experience in reviewing complex contracts and evaluating the accounting implications and presenting your conclusions/supporting documents in detail to stakeholders
- A track record of successful implementation of projects (ERP) and leading the financial teams in an fast and changing environment.
- Passion for people and you like working with people forming long term relationships to solve complex problems through collaboration and like to be the spider in the web
- Passion for data and analytics and you like analyzing data to find business opportunities and risks
- Ideally you have experience from automotive retail or online sales operations.
- If you have been part of a local sales organization its a plus
- Have minimum 57 years work experience with similar responsibilities and tasks
- Have a Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance or the equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
