This job is learning and perfecting the skill of cutting with a knife.
Learning to cut different cuts of poultry to pack per customers specification.
Packing and labelling the orders.
Learning about food safety and delivering high quality chicken products.

Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment.
- Maintain the warehouse's machines including cleaning down every day.
- Store products and materials, maintain temperatures of products.
- Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift.
- Report on defective products or machinery, and any other maintenance issues.
- Check stock levels and report deficiencies in products or raw materials.
- Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products.
- Review and follow manufacturing manuals produce to required specification.
- Transfer equipment and products manually.
- Follow the company's safety and quality guidelines.
- Follow all Food Safety guidelines.
- Have the ability to work in a high pressure environment.
- Have a strong sense of organisation.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Level 2 Food hygiene certification (this will be carried out while on the job).
- The skill of using a knife safely and boning poultry and a fast pace (this will be taught through on the job training).
- Desire to learn to document their work as they do it by recording Id & Traceability Records and temperatures.
- The ability/desire to learn technical skills through making and printing labels for the products they are packing.
- The ability/desire will learn creativity skills, by getting involved in NPD.
- Problem solving. They will learn that when there is not enough product to make an order up, what to do to solve the problem.
- Ability/desire to learn to predict orders, knowing their customers, what they get, what they don't. What they are likely to use and what they are not.
- Ability/desire to work as a team. They will have to work along side other departments also, as they will have to cut product for other departments and they will have to learn to communicate between them to ensure the flow of the product goes well.

The Employer is: GB POULTRY LTD.
Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
Wage: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour.
Training will be provided.
