Nursing Home Manager
Tredgar, South Wales
£64,000-£68,000

Our client is looking for a strong, passionate home manager who can turnaround and continue the development of their 48 bed nursing home in Tredgar!

Are you a compassionate, skilled healthcare professional with a passion for providing exceptional care to individuals living with dementia? Have you previously managed a large nursing home? Ideally our client is looking for someone who has good links and relationships within the local care sector who can bring this home back upto standard, historically the home has had a good reputation and inspections but over the last 12 months a number of issues have been highlighted. This is the perfect opportunity for a clinical or nursing home manager who is looking for a new challenge with an provider who will reward your efforts, commitment and hard work with a great bonus structure.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of skilled nurses, caregivers, and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Develop and implement care plans and protocols specific to individuals living with dementia, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and regular reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets regulatory standards.
Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support.
Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in dementia care, implementing innovative strategies to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Maintain accurate documentation, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Start work on a new action plan to help improve standards of care
Ensure staff and trained and able to provide the highest standards of care

Requirements:

Valid NMC PIN or previously managed a Nursing Home
Proven experience in managing a nursing home or dementia care unit, ideally with a minimum of 2 years.
Comprehensive understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals, coupled with a strong knowledge of person-centered care.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks, including CIW standards, and a commitment to upholding best practices.
Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage resources effectively.
