Account Manager – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading supplier of safety critical components based in Driffield, East Yorkshire who are looking for an Account Manager to join their growing team. The successful Account Manager will either be an experienced Account Manager/sales professional, or you will have come from a technical engineering background and are looking to break into sales.

Responsibilities for Account Manager:

Key Outline: Be the first and single point of contact for our customers. Look after and

manage your accounts dealing with new enquires, addressing and solving production &

quality queries, forecasting and gaining insight to their business whilst feeding back information internally.

Primary objectives:

• Be first point of contact for your customers.
• Ensure all new business opportunities are exploited to increase the customer account spend.
• Fully support the RFQ process and be able to technically support new enquires, quality issues and anything else whilst dealing with customers (full training and support given)
• Provide a physical presence at customer sites.
• Gain forecast information to feedback internally
• Pick up and support new enquiries that come into the business to convert to new customers.
• Maintain price list maintenance and general system maintenance.
• Support the wider team on any queries relating to your accounts.
• Also offer general telephone cover when needed.
• Work towards a safe, clean, and tidy work environment

About You:

• Someone with a minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Account Management or external sales experience
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
• Understands the Sales cycle and how to be a closer
• A genuine interest in technical and engineered products
• Someone who is personable and approachable.
• A great communicator
• Previous experience in plastics or similar preferred but not all essential
• The natural right attitude and understanding is what is key, the rest can be taught
