Job description
Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established supplier of various types of electric vehicles who are to bring on new Lead Workshop Engineer to oversee their workshop in Greater Manchester. With a competitive salary & overtime opportunity this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for the next step in their career.
Responsibilities
· Overseeing the overall running of the workshop
· Servicing the company’s fleet of electric trucks, road vehicles, tuggers and other specialist vehicles
· Supporting and guiding workshop and field engineers
· Preparing vehicles and equipment before delivery to customers
· Fixing and servicing other, related material handling & specialist equipment
· Liaising with the technical support team to ensure all service in carried out efficiently
Requirements
The company have a preference for an individual, who has experience of leading a team, from either an electric vehicles or material handling background due to the requirements of the role. They would also be open to applicants from a number of other similar backgrounds provided you have a strong electrical and mechanical understanding. Given that they also supply cleaning equipment, an individual from this sector would also be a possibility as would individuals from other sectors with strong pneumatics experience. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in Greater Manchester.

· Competitive salary (up to £38k depending on experience)

They provide various products to include road vehicles, multi passenger & pedestrian controlled vehicles. as well as other various handling products. With a well-established client base they now require an experienced lead engineer to work at their depot in Greater Manchester.
