Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO to continue to maximise total shareholder return and optimise business growth at acceptable risk.
• Effectively partner with the business and functional stakeholders to champion the operational and business performance agenda for the company.
• Provide strategically and commercially informed advice and insights
• Build a culture focused on total returns and operational excellence, with strong collaboration across each area of the business.
• Attract, foster and develop a highly capable and high performing, diverse finance team with a business partnering, value-add mindset.
• Continue to improve performance metrics and reporting (including annual budget and plan, forecasts, monthly reporting to the Board etc.)
• Plan performance goals and execute through clearly defined commercial and financial metrics and KPIs
• Ownership and understanding of all the numbers, being able to answer all queries related to them in an articulate and confident manner
• Drive a strong focus on internal controls, ethics and compliance.
• Proactive management of and influence on maximising profit margins
• Challenge the business plans and ongoing financial performance with the business and functional leaders, spotting trends early and interpreting information quickly to ensure that action is agreed and carried out effectively.
• Continually identify opportunities for cost savings

The Successful Applicant

You will be an experienced CFO who has previous track record in an investor backed company, with a strong background in business partnering and acting as a sounding board to a CEO. You will have a proven track record in enhancing finance functions with a broad finance profile including financial control & reporting, financial analysis & planning, tax, compliance and treasury. The role will require a commercial business partner and a candidate who is well versed in driving operational and business performance who has the ability to understand the underlying levers and performance metrics of the business at pace. You will have excellent communication and influencing skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.

Experience within Private Equity transactions; preparing data rooms, IM's, leading the sale process. Previous front-end M&A experience on buy and sell sides would be desirable.

Ideally you will have worked in a similar sized SME and have Global experience; experience leading financial operations in a multi-site, multi-currency business environment. The ideal candidate will have had some exposure to the US market.
