Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Monitor the IT Support Mailbox and act as ‘first line
support’. - Provide support in building devices for the School’s 1:1 Surface Programme.
- Provide technical support as required for those using desk-based devices.
- Maintain and provide support for the use of audio visual equipment in the school, including TV screens in classrooms and Surface Docking stations.
- Maintain the School’s bank of Exam Laptops and liaise with the Exam’s Officer to ensure their effective deployment.
- Provide technical support for external speakers.
- Maintain the asset database.
- Maintain lanyard stock and print badges.
- Maintain toner stock and install.
- Liaise with Third Party companies for warranty and support calls.
The training you will be getting
- The Level 3 qualification for Digital Service Technicians has been developed for apprentices wishing to develop their careers in the field of digital technical support.
- The digital support pathway focusses on helping external customers in the effective use and access of digital systems.
- Digital support technicians are trained to maximise an organisations’ effective use of digital office technologies, digital communications (including collaborative technologies) productivity softwareand digital information systems and to achieve its’
objectives. - This Level 3 qualification requires Level Two Functional Skills
Maths and English and involves 20% off the job training
and lasts for fifteen months.
