Job Description
- Providing manufacturing & Design Engineering support for the design and development team.
- Knowledge of production tooling to enhance and create tools and processes for press brakes, punch stations to minimise other machine operations to reduce production times.
- Knowledge of in process welding for MIG/TIG and spot welding machines and quality/proof test functions.
- The above leading and contributing to projects that reduce costs, improve manufacturing time and improve and maintain quality.
- Being an integral part of the Engineering team ensuring our products are delivered on time, to specification and within budget and to the best Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles.
- Carrying out feasibility studies on processes to produce new products, and to improve the effectiveness of existing manufacturing processes.
- Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process and highlight and cost improvements that can be made.
- Maintain both company and program specific processes and procedures to enable successful manufacture
- Provide technical liaison and support throughout the product lifecycle between senior members of the production team, design teams, quality teams and production partners.
- Support change management in the event of customer, supplier or internal design changes throughout the product lifecycle
- Generate documentation in accordance with company and customer procedures/deliverables as standard operating and work to procedures.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar level of experience
- Manufacturing/production engineering experience
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Ability to develop strong working relationships
- Strong task and project leadership skills, identifying what is important

Standard hours are
08.15 to 17.00 Monday to Thursday,
08.15 to 13.00 Friday (but may be some flexibility on this)
