Job description

We are looking to appoint an experienced IT professional to the newly created post of Deputy Director of Information Technology, Security & Data. This is an excellent opportunity to work within our Head Office central team helping to shape the future of IT Infrastructure and Operations, Information and Cyber Security, and Data and MIS for the Harris Federation.

As Deputy Director of IT, Security & Data you will work with the Director to oversee the strategic development, operational delivery and use of information technology and data across the Federation. You will act as a key advisor on information technology, cyber security, data, digital transformation and related high-risk technology matters. The role has four direct reports (Head of Infrastructure, Head of Service Delivery, Head of Data & MIS and Head of Information and Cyber Security), and will oversee a large IT function consisting of IT, Security and Data professionals, with indirect management of academy-based IT Technicians.

We are looking for an individual who has a true passion for technology and learning, and who has a genuine interest to work in the Education sector. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference within the Federation, and to help our academies and the young people of London.

We are looking for an individual with extensive operational experience and strategic leadership and management of information services. Someone who can communicate and promote the adoption of technology within academies, and help to promote a culture of best practice to drive efficiencies.
