Job description

Science Teacher - Preston

A dedicated and passionate Science Teacher is required to work at a secondary school in Preston, to join them on a full-time basis, teaching key stage 3 & 4 ASAP, on an ongoing basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full time basis.

This position is five days a week, full time, and is only open to experienced teachers.

You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way. You should have an understanding of KS3 and KS4, with a understanding of the cross curriculum benefits of teaching Science.

Many pupils are happy and proud to attend the school. Supportive relationships with teachers help most pupils to feel safe in school. During the last year, senior leaders have successfully worked to raise teachers' expectations of what pupils can achieve.
