Job Profile - Head Electrical Engineering

Location – Lincoln

A Snapshot of your day

Organise, co-ordinate & manage a discipline team to ensure the execution of all detailed engineering activities for all gas turbine package projects, design activities; ensuring customer satisfaction and within set budgets.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for the departments ouput and project budgets. Team to be circa 5 -15 dependant on the business planned workload to include inloan staff as required.
• Organising, planning and coordinating the engineering activities for design and new business projects, support to production team and ensure engineering is released within project plan.
• Ensuring and verifying that all projects are carried out within budget or better.
• Technical approval/authorisation of all department work (not produced by oneself).
• Review performance of all department members reviewing training requirements and mentoring as required to ensure development of all members of the department. Setting and monitoring targets for all department members.
• Producing and providing technical documentation for all activities (specification, drawings, calculation, reports etc).
• Support and problem solving regarding the technical aspects of package engineering, during the build, installation, commissioning and warranty period.

• Discipline engineering knowledge ( Electrical)
• Product and solution for power gen & oil & gas projects
• Planning
• Commercial Knowledge
• Dealing with customer
• Experience in an engineering function within a similar industry. People or project management experience.
• Extensive experience in project engineering in the power generation and oil & gas industry.
• Experience of managing a team of disciplin engineers for a number of years.
• Experience in, and capability to operate in international project arena.
