About the Department:

The Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate (RKED) is a growing team that manages the whole lifecycle of research and knowledge exchange activities at SOAS, from supporting researchers to applying for funding to generating research impact and commercialising new knowledge. Building on the success of our REF 2021 submission in which we were ranked 40th for quality, we place research excellence and intensivity at the very heart of our institutional mission. The team support this goal by providing a high quality, frictionless service to academic colleagues, and supporting the delivery of outcomes and key performance indicators linked to the Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced administrator with excellent oragnisational skills, financial literacy and strong communication and problem-solving skills to support the Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange and the work of the wider Directorate. The postholder will support the smooth operation of core-services within the Directorate, financial management of external funding, and development of internal communications. This is an excellent entry-point role for a career in research management and administration for someone with a relevant skill set or an interesting and varied role for an established and experienced administrator who would like to move to a new sector or take on a new challenge.
