About The Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel:
It is situated at Parkgate, Rotherham. With 40 Bedrooms, Large Function room, Restaurant & Bar areas. The Hotel is a thriving and busy operation.
We are seeking a well organised and self motivated person to control and oversee all day to day aspects of the business. You will be required to Manage a small but dedicated team of staff to drive performance, quality and above all else customer service.
General Manager – Key Responsibilities:
As General Manager you will control and oversee all day-to-day aspects of the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a small but dedicated team of staff to drive performance, quality and customer satisfaction
- Managing the bars, cellars, functions rooms, and bedroom accommodation for
customers
- Ensuring occupancy rates & Marketing activity are monitored and actioned as appropriate
- Staff & Rota management
- Managing the kitchen staff to ensure quality of food and service
- Monitoring and ordering stock for the hotel
General Manager – You:
- You will be well educated with strong experience in a similar role within the hotel industry
- You will need a Personal licence, or be able to acquire one, and a basic food hygiene certificate would be advantageous, but not essential
- In addition, you will have an understanding of all health & safety procedures required within the Hotels environment
- You will be a confident and dynamic leader able to work in a busy and ever changing environment
- You will have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail
- You will also have strong industry related experience with the ability to work to conflicting deadlines
