What you will do in your working day

Our apprentice mechanical field service engineers are responsible for making sure our mechanical assets and equipment are always running up to standard on our wastewater treatment works.

During your 48 month apprenticeship, you’ll have the chance to develop valuable engineering skills as you learn how to maintain, refurbish and replace our mechanical equipment on our wastewater treatment works, ensuring that it remains compliant and working correctly.

This can be a bit of a messy job dealing with the things our customers flush down the loo so you’ll need to be prepared to get your hands dirty.

What you’ll learn from us:

• How to work as part of a dedicated team focussed on ensuring our plants continue to operate at maximum efficiency
• How to work with a wide range of equipment, be able to identify any faults and carry out routine maintenance, following the company’s rigorous health and safety standards
• How to schedule maintenance activity and organise your workload effectively

The training you will be getting

• Successful apprentices will achieve a Utilities Engineering Technician Level 3 Standard which is endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships.
• Training will be Apprentice workplace and block release for 8 months.
