Job Description
The primary purpose of a Field Supervisor is to ensure that our clients and Care Professional receive first class support and a high-quality service. Reporting to our Care Manager you will work closely with the Care Manager and Support Coordinator while in the office, and the Care Professionals in the field to achieve this.
- Support care consultations, service reviews and completion of client personal care plans.
- Support and mentor Care Professionals
- Conduct staff supervisions
- Undertake client quality assurance and service review meetings..
- Create, update and audit client care plans and assist with digital care planning.
- Maintain accurate client and Care Assistant records on Home Instead Care and Scheduling systems..
- Maintain regular contact with clients and Care Assistants through appropriate platforms.
- Conduct Care Professional introductions with new and existing clients.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing clients, their families and other professionals involved in their care.
- Provide regular hands-on care services to clients in their own home.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
- Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.
While this role is initially part-time, the hours are expected to increase in the future and can also be complemented with additional care hours.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Experience in the care sector and in delivering a wide range of personal care services.
- Experience of working with eMAR sheets and medication in a supervisory role.
- Passion for delivering the highest quality care to our clients, helping them to live independently and happily in their own homes.
- Understanding Health and Social Care Standards and the role of both the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Must be confident to use care management technology including providing support and training to Care Professionals.
- Must understand the importance of confidentiality and GDPR working within current legislation.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems with experience of Microsoft Office and virtual communication platforms with the aptitude to learn and adopt new technologies and software where appropriate.
- Due the requirement to travel across the Inverclyde and North Ayshoire region you must have a full driving license and access to your won transport.
- You must be organised and flexible to meet the needs of the business.
