Job description
Eco 360 is a growing multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy based in Staffordshire. As we continue to expand the business, we are looking for skilled ecologists to join our team. The successful candidate would be expected to work remotely and independently.
Responsibilities will include:
- Production of Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, Ecological Impact Assessment, Biodiversity
Net Gain Metrics, Habitats Regulation Assessments
- Undertaking of ecological surveys for a range of fauna, including bats, birds,
badger, great crested newts, reptiles, dormouse, water vole and otter etc.
- Undertaking of habitat surveys
- Writing/completion of technical reports
- The production of method statements/mitigation plans and European Protected Species
Mitigation Licences.
- Liaise with and advise, site managers, engineers, planners and others associated with a
survey.

What we are looking for
Essential:
- Professional experience in ecological consultancy (minimum 2 years).
- BSc and or MSc in a relevant subject.
- Protected species survey licence(s).
- Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle for business.
- Good understanding of the relevant legislation.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Able to work independently
- Good organisation, project management, and client liaison skills.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience being the Named Ecologist on protected species mitigation licences.
- Competence using the Statutory Biodiversity Metric.
- Member of CIEEM.
- Competent using QGIS.
