Job Description
- Manage and oversee daily operations in the accounts receivable department
- Process billing adjustments and refunds
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Review the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Facilitate swift payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Identify improvements to the billing and collections processes
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Receivable Specialist should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office - Including Excel (VLookups & Pivot Tables)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
