Automation Tester – Sheffield – Circa £50K
On behalf of our industry-leading client based in Sheffield, we are recruiting for a talented Automation Tester. As an Automation Tester, you will deliver high-quality automated test practices for all systems.
The Automation Tester will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure that testing requirements are clear and well-documented prior to development.
- Write efficient automated test plans and automated test cases that meet the company's objectives.
- Work with product owners to prioritize tasks.
- Create living documentation for testing allowing knowledge sharing between teams and global offices
- Discover, isolate, and document development defects as well as participate in or lead Root Cause Analyses.
- Disseminate test results, work to improve tests when features are expanded, and perform exploratory testing.
The Automation Tester will have the following:
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, and Automation testing of web and client-server applications.
- Experience with end-to-end test automation suites is desirable (Selenium, Protractor, Appium, CodeCeptJS)
- Demonstrated knowledge of structured testing and a thorough understanding of quality assurance testing applications and concepts.
- Experience with creating and automating happy path and unit tests for JavaScript and API endpoints.
- Good Java.expereince.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Gathering and documenting technical requirements and specifications.
- Multiple development methodologies including Scrum, and/or Agile.
- Continuous release projects and continuous integration tools.
