Job description

An energetic and experienced individual is required to join the team to perform breakdown, trouble shooting and maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment within a multi-site high volume manufacturing company in a methodical and conscientious manner.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be expected to carry out routine maintenance tasks and be constantly looking for improvements to processes and procedures supporting production requirements in a team environment. You will assist with installations, commissioning, servicing and upgrades on a wide range of equipment, supporting ancillaries and facilities supplies.

Skills required:

Time served multi-skilled Fitter / Technician, electrical or mechanical biased acceptable.

Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical fault-finding skills

CNC and CAD experience desirable but not essential

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to interact with factory staff & management.

Flexible approach to working to meet production demands.

Good safety ethos with experience of safe systems of work

As the Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out electrical and mechanical breakdown repairs
• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Surveying and calibrating production equipment
• Training of factory staff on machine use
• Assisting with product development and production improvement
• Ensuring compliance with statutory rules & regulations

Based near Billingham this is a day shift position working Monday – Friday
