Job description
The specialty doctor will have the following duties: Providing f2f front-line clinical services both planned and ad-hoc Visiting clients in homeless hostels with our three RSDAT workers Assessment of drug/alcohol dependence/co-morbid psychiatric/physical health Initiate treatment for clients not on treatment Review treatment plans for those already in treatment Physical and mental health screenings/reviews with onward referral Signing of controlled drug prescriptions Substitute opioid prescribing (detoxification and harm minimisation approaches) Initial medical assessments, clinical/psychiatric reviews, dose reviews Liaising with MDT to plan & deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans Provide specialist clinics to offer evidence-based treatment interventions/advice, such as detoxification for GBL, ketamine, benzodiazepines, cocaine Mostly outreach work with one full day on-site at team base Liaison with wider Haringey drug treatment system and partners eg primary care, mental health services, and others like Hep C outreach teams. Attending clinical team meetings Continuing professional development Involvement in health promotion and education of hostel staff To keep accurate appropriate and up-to-date documentation
