Process Technologist

Desirable Criteria:
- Food-related degree
- New Product Development experience – 2 years +
- Formal training in legal labelling compliance
- Experience with some of the below software packages
- Nutritional Pro, Nice Label, Quick Design
- Oracle, APP, Nutritics, Brandbank
Duties:
- Working in conjunction with
operations develop and innovate new products and processes with ownership of
projects from concept to launch.
- Work closely with the chef,
NPD assistant / technologist(s) and NPD Manager to record all required
information to generate accurate recipes and QAS type documents (CQS / CQM).
- Present facts and ideas
clearly and accurately to customers when required in a supporting role with the
New Product Development Manager.
- Plan, organize and coordinate
delivery of factory trials and projects to a high standard, in line with
business timescales and customer requirements.
- Support the process of creating and delivering
customer NPD samples & mock-ups,
- Participate in product and ingredient benchmarking,
carry out for regular recipe testing sessions & kitchen validations,
conduct competitor research and reporting,
- You will draft QAS documents,
- Provide colleagues in the NPD team with support for
cooking & presenting new product tasting plus carry out NPD administration
such as sample submission forms, trial request forms, gate documents, compiling
gap analysis.
- Administrator on Point 74 and work with the Chef,
NPD assistant / technologist(s) and NPD Manager to ensure that all the correct
and required information is available to other departments for launch.
- General NPD Process duties – making samples, repeat
samples, sealing samples and labelling samples for all customers for press
shows, gate meetings and general NPD requirements.
- Organising transport for samples
- Writing up trial reports
- Helping sample and paperwork preparation for
customer presentations
