Job description
Vocational Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our team. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a critical role in the development and education of children in their early years. You will create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow while encouraging their natural curiosity and creativity. Responsibilities
- Engage with children in a range of stimulating activities to support their cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Observe and assess children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing appropriate support and guidance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily reports, attendance records, and children's portfolios.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and discussing any concerns or issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to children's learning and development.
- Supervise meal times, ensuring that children are encouraged to make healthy food choices and develop good table manners.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Early Years Practitioner or in a similar role.
- A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Level 3 Minimum).
- Sound knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love of working with young children.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively plan and implement engaging activities.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest research and trends in early years education.
