Job description
Kingston Hospital Maternity Unit is looking for a Maternity Risk Administrative Co-ordinator. The post holder will provide administrative support to the Maternity Risk Team and Risk Management Team to enable seamless efficiency in the functions of patient safety governance and risk. The post holder will manage the organisation of the Maternity Risk Management meeting, Maternity Guideline Group, Maternity Voiced Partnership and Maternity Safety Champions meeting.
The post will be 37.5 hours, working hours between Monday to Friday and will be office-based. It will be a fixed term secondment for 1 year as a Band 5.
The post holder will provide organisational and secretarial support for the Risk training and will need a strong administration and Information Technology skills. You need to be competent to develop and use databases, paying attention to detail and accuracy.
You will be expected to work efficiently and flexibly as part of a team with good organisational skills. You will need the ability to deal with competing priorities without direct supervision.
Kingston Maternity is a popular service with approximately 4600 births per annum. The most recent National Maternity Survey rated Kingston in the top five best performing maternity services within London. The Care Quality Commission rated Kingston Hospital’s Maternity Service as Good in 2022 and the Trust ‘outstanding’ in 2019, with staff positive about the hospital and the services they were able to offer women and their families. Leadership is strong and well respected and there is a culture of learning and a desire to improve the service.
The Risk team are friendly, supportive and work closely with each other and consist of 3 midwives.
