Job description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Security Manager on a permanent basis on a salary of £42,000 - £53,772/annum. This role will be based in the office and includes a variety of travel incentives.

 
Responsibilities:

 
- Manage the day-to-day security activities of all areas of the Operations Department.
- You will also manage the service delivery functions including Line, Station Staff and Drivers, Control Room and Admin & Training functions.
- You will assist in the development of security policies, procedures, service plans and budgets within departmental corporate plans and financial budgets.
- You will support agreed elements of a modernisation programme as it progresses, as agreed with the Head of Operations & Security.
- You will provide flexible cover to meet operations demands.
 
Essential Skills:

 
- Experience of working in a senior operational role with a focus on excellent customer service and security operations.
- Highly experienced in managing people, ideally in a security context.
- You will have experience of developing and implementing security policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- You will be able to demonstrate high levels of flexibility, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work within a safety critical environment.
