Lead Support Worker - Female
£13.31 Per Hour
Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Tingley, Wakefield(13 min drive from Dewsbury and District Hospital)

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Tingley, Wakefield as the Lead Support Worker, where you will have access to an excellent training programme, strong career progression and the opportunity to deliver outstanding support through our unique ‘Activate’ model. As Lead Support Worker, you will work closely with the Locality Manager and the Assistant Locality Manager to coach and mentor Support Workers and Relief Support Workers, to ensure this young man is receiving outstanding person-centred care. You will be responsible for helping to promote a culture within the team that every moment has potential and is an opportunity to improve this young man’s life.
Who will I be supporting?
- Four fabulous ladies under the age of 40 in their supported living home, and one lady who receives outreach support in Bramley (you must be able to support in this location as well as Tingley in order to be considered)
- The ladies love going on holidays, spending time with their families, eating out, going on day trips and going to college
- The ladies have mild learning disabilities, personality disorder diagnoses, require support with their mental health, emotional support, physical and psychological wellbeing.
- Successful candidate must be willing and accepting of supporting people with complex needs and behaviours of distress.
Shifts Patterns:
We are looking for flexibility as this is a 24/7 service and shifts are shared fairly across weekdays and weekends.
- Must also be comfortable completing sleep-in shifts.
- Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a health work life balance.
