As our NPD Coordinator, you will directly support market leading, exciting new and existing product development with a scientific edge. With a focus on advanced ingredients in skincare, you will perform critical market research, manage trials and support the day to day activities of a fast paced product development team.
The role will be based in our brand new Innovation Centre in Aylesbury (Aston Clinton, HP22 5WJ) and you will report to the Senior Product Manager. You’ll work closely with the wider R&D team to support the development of market-leading skincare products and elevate Medik8’s competitive position.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of experience in beauty product development, ideally skincare, and be a strong and accurate communicator with excellent organisation skills and attention to detail. The ability to adapt to change and work collaboratively is also key to meeting project deadlines and making our ambitious goals happen. This is a fantastic role for someone who wants to develop their career in beauty and is passionate about consumer behaviour and product development.
In more detail your role will include:
- Investigates and supports the design of compelling product concepts to ensure successful product launches in all markets.
- Tracks external market trends and competitor activity to ensure we are staying at the forefront of the industry.
- Gathers data to support on performance reporting for key product categories and NPDs.
- Supports and coordinates product trials, including facilitating product sampling needs
- Coordinates primary research on consumer attitudes.
- Supports raw material research & information gathering.
- Supports the development of product and range information documents and copy to support information transfer to wider teams.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to maintain project progress and alignment.
Requirements :
- Have 1-2 years of experience in beauty product development, preferably in skincare.
- Have strong market research skills and passion for skincare products.
- Have exceptional organisation skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Have an innovative and problem solving attitude.
- Have the ability to use data to inform decision making.
- Have the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Are a personable team player with strong communication skills.
