As Administrative Officer and Personal Assistant you will undertake a broad range of tasks in support of the administrative processes carried out by the professional services team. You will also support Prof Stevens with tasks including but not limited to managing Prof Stevens’ diary and meeting schedules, handling correspondence predominantly via email, coordinating events, and providing support that allows the office to function efficiently. Full training will be provided but basic knowledge of procurement and diary systems is advantageous. The post holder will form part of the Stevens Group professional services team and will be embedded in a diverse, friendly, and fast-paced team. The post holder must be well organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. The role will involve daily contact with senior staff and colleagues across the University, often in circumstances of strict confidentiality. Tact and discretion are vital in this role as is the ability to remain calm under pressure. The successful candidate will have experience of providing professional executive support at a senior level, strong organisational skills with proven experience of managing and delivering administrative and excellent communication skills. The ability to organise own workload and support colleagues is also essential. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience. The Role The post is available as soon as possible. This is a full-time position, initially fixed-term for 12 months in the first instance. Part-time appointments can be considered. The successful candidate will be based at the Department of Physiology Anatomy & Genetics, Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery, located at the Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin Building, Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3QU.
