Exciting Opportunity in Fusion Energy: Technical Lead (Enterprise Asset Management) at UKAEA
Overview
Join the pioneering team at the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and contribute to the implementation of a cutting-edge Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. We are seeking a talented Technical Engineer to play a key role in the integration and optimization of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Role: Technical Lead (Enterprise Asset Management)
Location: Culham Science Centre, Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Engineer (Enterprise Asset Management), you will be responsible for:
* Providing technical support to the project manager in the delivery of the EAM system implementation.
* Utilizing your technical expertise to understand and optimize the existing Mainsaver information, processes, and procedures.
* Offering subject matter knowledge and expertise on building maintenance and facilities management, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements aligned with BESA SFG20.
* Serving as a principal member of the project team to ensure that asset capture, management, and transfer meet the needs of stakeholders.
* Actively participating in contract management, understanding the relationship between CMMS and contract delivery.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that the system and outputs meet the organization's needs, including reporting requirements for contract management, service level agreements, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Recognized apprenticeship in a mechanical/electrical field (or time served).
* Experience in building maintenance, preferably with a facilities management background.
* Experience with Enterprise Asset Management systems (EAMs) or Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
* Experience in contract management and understanding of the relationship between CMMS and contract delivery.
Ideally a member of a professional body such as the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM).
